Who we are
1951
Born in France, Dagard is established as a manufacturer of wood cabinets for food conservation.
1958
Dagard is the first European manufacturer to design a panelised modular cold room.
1970
Dagard is the first company in Europe to design a range of cold rooms and insulated doors using new polyurethane foams.
1977
Ardmac is established in Ireland.
1982
Dagard launches its first products for clean rooms for pharma and chemical needs.
1988
Coldkit is founded in Spain to sell insulation products manufactured in France.
1991
Dagard Operations are expanded to Portugal with a new factory through a joint venture with Sonae Group. Today, Purever Industrial Solutions.
2001
Purever Industries is born in Madrid (Spain), from an MBO with Dagard international subsidiaries in South America and the Iberian Peninsula.
2004
Dagard invests in a continuous line to produce refrigeration panels and mineral wool.
2007
Purever participates in the creation of PAP (Spain), the most automated refrigeration panel manufacturer in Europe.
2018
Purever Industries writes a new chapter in its history with the acquisition of Dagard France and Dagard USA, becoming a top European player in the premium technical insulation market.
2022
Dagard inaugurates a new factory in the United States (GE), manufacturing of cleanroom panels.
2023
Purever acquires the Taver Group (Barcelona), consolidating Purever’s leadership in the Iberian market.
2024
Purever acquires MISA, a prestigious Italian modular cold room brand, expanding into Italy and reinforcing its European leadership.
2024
Purever acquires ARDMAC, an Irish Group leader in designing and building clean rooms and controlled environments for cutting-edge industries like pharma, electronics, EV batteries and Data Centers, among others.
2025
Under Purever leadership Ardmac expands to Spain, France, Austria & Poland.

Purever celebrates its 25th anniversary, while Dagard celebrates its 75th…

Our team
Leadership & Integrity
Purever operates through three global Business Units—Clean, Cold, and Industrial—supported by central service functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Design & Engineering, ESG, and others.
The Clean Business Unit integrates all of Purever’s worldwide activities related to cleanrooms and technological environments, overseeing the full value chain from business development and product management to marketing.
The Cold Business Unit has similar responsibilities, integrating all of Purever’s worldwide activities across the food value chain, including cold storage, logistics, supermarkets, and HORECA applications.
Corporate governance is overseen by a non-executive Board of Directors representing the Group’s principal shareholders, with João Coelho Borges serving as Chairman and Luis Coelho Borges as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Executive management is led by the Group Leadership Team (GLT), which is responsible for the Group’s strategic execution and day-to-day management. The heads of the central service functions report directly to the GLT.
The Group’s independent auditor is Grant Thornton.
